Today it’s 10 days left of our Referral-contest. At the moment Nelsaidi and HateBot is tied for the #1 Spot with 11 Referrals each. This means it’s still time for you to try to win the grand prize of 80 Gold! You just need 1.2 Referrals/day to go past them both.

Thanks to my good friend Vidarlo the move is finished. MyErepublik does now have it’s own Dedicated server located in Amsterdam. This has increased the security and the possibility for expansion, we are now set for a long time to come.

If anyone is experiencing any troubles resolving this new server put the following line in your hosts-file. (Can be found in C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/Etc/hosts in windows. For those of you using linux: /etc/hosts.)

Myerepublik will move to new servers today/tonight. This may cause some downtime, hopefully not more than a few minutes, but may be a bit more.

The new server is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands and will provide good connectivity for all users of the site and hopefully 100% uptime.

We’re moving to a new servers to get improved security, and so we have enough space for expansion in the future, at the moment the server will house 2 Erepublik-sites, Erepublik.no and MyErepublik.com.

We will also provide free hosting for other Erepublik Community-sites, so if you have a community-site that needs hosting send me a mail at forconin [at] myerepublik [dot] com if you have a site that needs hosting.

In a attempt to get more users to MyErepublik we are announcing a referral-contest. The person who refers the most new users to MyErepublik in a month will win 80 Gold!

You can find your referral-link at your Profile-page in the Forum.

Share this referral-link with your friends and use it when you link to MyErepublik in your articles and see if you can win yourself a good amount of Gold.

The rules are simple:

1. The winner is the person who refers the most new users to MyErepublik.
2. Multiple accounts are not allowed (The winners referrals will be checked thoroughly for cheating.)
3. No spamming of articles or in the forums of erepublik.
4. For a referral to count the referred member would have to be a active member. (Have at least 1 post in the MyErepublik Forums)
5. The winner will be decided on 24 August 2008

The prize may be increased at any time.

We’re looking for talented and knowledgeable moderators for the MyErepublik forums. It’s a task best suited for people that has plenty of Erepublik experience, an even temper, good sense of judgement and preferably some earlier experience of being a forum moderator but it’s not crucial.

Lately i have been a bit busy IRL so i haven’t really had the time to update much on MyErepublik. Most of the other contributors have also been busy and haven’t been able to do much.

If anyone in the community wants to contribute and help MyErepublik become a good resource please send me a mail at forconin at myerepublik dot com or post in the forums.
