Today MyErepublik brings you a bit more information about the upcoming Erepublik Stock Exchange-application by Big Brother.
ERX is a stock exchange that allows citizens of eRepublik to invest into companies through buying and selling their shares.
Anyone can become a stock trader, and any GM can list their company(s) on ERX, no matter how small or large. This will be a great way to invest your Gold if you don’t have the time to run a company.
Benefits to Citizens:
I like Erepublik and the proof for that is that I’m still active in game, on forums and also on several chats that surrounds the game. Usually my interest for these kinds of things tends to disappear after a couple of months but Erepublik has something special that has kept me here for over 8 months now.
To me, Erepublik is not only a game but also a simulator and a world. People from different countries and opinions get together to play, socialise and maybe live out a fantasy or two.
I think the most common fantasy is the one of leading a party to victory and in the end also lead a whole nation, I started out this game with those ambitions and it took me to the top.
For three months I was president of Sweden and being in that position and taking part of the sheer amount of information and opinions which on a daily basis flows towards you via PM and forums, it gets your mind going, thinking in a different way.
Thought i’d just post this over again.

Thanks to my good friend Vidarlo the move is finished. MyErepublik does now have it’s own Dedicated server located in Amsterdam. This has increased the security and the possibility for expansion, we are now set for a long time to come.
If anyone is experiencing any troubles resolving this new server put the following line in your hosts-file. (Can be found in C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/Etc/hosts in windows. For those of you using linux: /etc/hosts.)

Myerepublik will move to new servers today/tonight. This may cause some downtime, hopefully not more than a few minutes, but may be a bit more.
The new server is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands and will provide good connectivity for all users of the site and hopefully 100% uptime.
We’re moving to a new servers to get improved security, and so we have enough space for expansion in the future, at the moment the server will house 2 Erepublik-sites, Erepublik.no and MyErepublik.com.
We will also provide free hosting for other Erepublik Community-sites, so if you have a community-site that needs hosting send me a mail at forconin [at] myerepublik [dot] com if you have a site that needs hosting.
Finally the second contest is about to be concluded - right now there’s a topic in the forums for you to visit and vote for the best slogan sent in by our members!

eRepublik as we all know is a simple game. From economics to politics the complexities of the system itself expand only as wide as its users allow it to. As much as we try however, this inflexible rigid skeleton will eventually contain us into 8 simple golden rules which all things follow. No matter how much we may try, or how much we attempt to change, like a large rubber ball hitting concrete it will never penetrate. If anything moves in this epic clash between user and simulation, it is the user. And if we happen to throw this ball of individualism, of purity, of difference, of innovation too hard; it will break. The only resolution is our own destruction.
The First Rule, the “Golden Rule” of eRepublik:
1. All nations are in a general, fixed state of decay.
As you might have noticed we have gotten a new link in the header. “Chat”.
I have uploaded a nice little Javaapplet that allows you to join our IRC-channel without installing any IRC-clients. Just go to http://www.myerepublik.com/chat and you will be connected to our channel.
It doesn’t look very good at the moment, but it works, and that’s the most important thing. I hope to get it improved in the future. Let me know if you encounter any issues with it.
